Introducing the Wellington Southern Bays Historical Society Inc.
Following a meeting of a
small group of local residents interested in establishing a historical society
covering the three bays, a public meeting was held on Wednesday 13 August 2003 which attracted 32 supporters.
Those present confirmed their support for the Society, and an inaugural
committee was elected to incorporate the Society. Our first AGM was held
in August, 2004, at which a committee of nine was elected.
We meet on the third Monday of February, May, August and November
Members from any suburb or any place in New Zealand and beyond are welcome.
